JON D. CAMINEZ is Managing Partner of Caminez & Hardee, P.A. in Monticello, Florida. For almost 40 years, he has litigated cases primarily involving personal injury and wrongful death in North Florida as well as serving as co-counsel for numerous cases in Georgia, Alabama and other states.
Mr. Caminez is a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a special designation that he has held continuously since its creation by the Florida Bar in 1983. This certification indicates his outstanding skill as a trial advocate and his extraordinary contributions to the cause of justice.
A member of the Florida Bar for the past 39 years, Mr. Caminez has handled literally thousands of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and products and premises liability cases. Several hundred of these cases have gone to trial. He has won several multi-million dollar verdicts for his clients against corporations large and small. Whatever the size of the case, however, Mr. Caminez’s philosophy is to pursue the interests of all of his clients with the same unwavering energy, focus and determination to achieve the best possible outcome.
Mr. Caminez earned both a B.A. and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served for 4 years as a Justice Hearing Officer for the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services before entering private practice in the North Florida area.
Mr. Caminez is a strong supporter of Legal Services of North Florida and the Florida Bar Foundation, Fellows Program & Endowment Trust, an organization concerned with improving Florida’s legal system and supporting various charitable purposes.
Mr. Caminez is a longstanding member of the Florida Justice Association, formerly known as The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and a member of the American Association for Justice, formerly known as the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the Florida Supreme Court, and all Circuit Courts in the State of Florida.
Mr. Caminez lives in Monticello, Florida with his wife Linda. They are active in the community and support many local programs with the goals of helping people in need and strengthening and improving the community.
CARY A. “BO” HARDEE, III is a lifelong resident of the Madison County, Florida community. He attended North Florida Community College and Florida State University and received a bachelors degree in political science and criminology in 1995. He attended law school at Stetson University College of Law, and was awarded his juris doctor in 1999. He is a partner in the firm focusing primarily on auto accident and premises liability cases. He is a sixth generation Floridian and a fourth generation attorney. His namesake, his great great uncle was the governor of the State of Florida from 1921-1925.
Mr. Hardee is a member of various groups in the state of Florida, both on a personal and professional level, including the Third Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, Governor’s Advocacy Council, Madison County Volunteer Fire Department, K-9 Search and Rescue Centers of Florida, and K-9 Search and Rescue Team of Florida. He lives in Madison, Florida with his wife Suzi, their son, and dogs.
SCOTT WOLF is a graduate of Florida State University (Management Information Systems) and Mercer College of Law (Juris Doctorate). Prior to practicing law with Caminez & Hardee, Mr. Wolf served as a consultant for numerous companies in the areas of software development and network administration. For five years, Mr. Wolf served as a Graduate Faculty member teaching at American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Wolf's technical background and attention to detail have greatly aided his representation of clients in civil, family law, real estate, and probate matters
MARIE WALDROP, a native of Madison County, graduated from Florida State University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in English and has worked in a variety of professional fields – medical, business management, education and law – all of which contribute to her experience and knowledge in the organization, maintenance and control of the firm’s cases. Marie also holds degrees in business management, paralegal studies and a master’s degree in education. She began her legal career working for a senior partner of the largest law firm in New Hampshire. During her career, Marie has lived and worked in Oregon, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Louisiana and California. In 1996, she returned to Florida where she has worked in personal injury and insurance defense. Marie has conducted many workshops, tutoring programs, mentoring students and training courses. She has authored a textbook used in teacher preparation courses. She is also very active in her church and has been the organist there for the past 8 years. She and her husband live in rural Madison County, Florida where, in her spare time, she enjoys a friendly game of golf and playing with her grandchildren. Marie is a legal assistant for Jon D. Caminez helping him to investigate personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Marie conducts witness interviews and meets with clients, striving to give the utmost in personal attention to everyone involved in the course and scope of her investigations.
SAM ARMSTRONG was born in Albany, Georgia and now lives in Monticello, Florida. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design. Sam and his wife Candace have been married for 6 years and have one daughter, Addison and another daughter due in late October, 2009. Sam recently graduated from Tallahassee Community College with a degree in Paralegal Studies. Sam plans to attend Florida State University and get his law degree. Sam is employed as the office videographer. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family and play video games.
PARKER SULLIVAN graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts with an undergraduate degree in Child Development in May 2004. She was awarded a Masters of Arts from Tufts University with a focus in educational advocacy in May 2005. She relocated to Tallahassee with the goal of attending law school in the future. She has worked in the legal field since she was in high school, maintaining various internships with personal injury and family law firms in her native Tampa, Florida, as well as the State Attorney’s office. In addition to legal work, Ms. Sullivan has a passion for teaching, and spent several summers and internship semesters in college working with children at Tufts University’s various laboratory schools. She has worked at Caminez & Hardee since late 2005, where she assists Mr. Hardee with the maintenance and control of cases.
In her spare time, she volunteers for Underdog Rescue as a foster parent and transport volunteer, and as an alumni volunteer to Tufts University, meeting with and interviewing prospective students for the admissions committee there. Ms. Sullivan lives in Tallahassee, Florida with her husband and four dogs.
MARISA BUESCHEL is a sophmore at Tallahassee Community College. Marisa has been with Caminez & Hardee since 2005, where she started as a file clerk and has continuously learned new things and been assigned more challenging tasks. Marisa loves working closely with the attorney’s and their assistants and hopes to be an attorney after she graduates from college. In her spare time Marisa enjoys reading and playing with her animals.
BECKY HOWELL
Rebecca "Becky" Howell was born and raised in Alabama and has been a resident of Tallahassee since 1991. Becky and her husband David have been married for 16 years and have one daughter, Jessica. Becky has extensive experience in administration and customer service in both commercial and governmental agencies. She attended Keiser College n/k/a Keiser University from 1995 to 1997 and graduated with an A.A. degree in Paralegal Studies. Since then she has had experience in probate, foreclosures, estate planning, real estate closings and litigation. She came to work for Caminez and Hardee in October 2006 and is a legal assistant to Mr. Caminez.
In her spare time she likes to attend her daughter’s softball games, go camping, spend time with family and her 3 dogs and 5 cats and play computer games.
SHANNON BROWN
SHANNON BROWN was born and raised in Madison County, Florida. He attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and was awarded a bachelor of science in Criminal Justice in 2002. He has worked for Caminez & Hardee, for the past 16 years as a paralegal and office manager to Mr. Caminez. Mr. Brown lives in Madison, Florida.
