Ryan Yeary
Attorney

Ryan Yeary joined the firm of Caminez & Yeary, P.A. in 2016. Mr. Yeary began his legal career working as a trial court staff attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit. In this position he worked closely with members of the judiciary gaining invaluable insight into the judicial process. Ryan then joined a Tallahassee law firm where he represented insurance companies in defense of lawsuits brought by those injured in automobile accidents. Mr. Yeary now utilizes these past experiences as a personal injury attorney, representing clients in automobile accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, products liability and medical malpractice.

 

Mr. Yeary grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Accounting. He then attended Stetson University College of Law where he received his law degree with honors. While at Stetson he also earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

 

Mr. Yeary is married to Jessica Yeary, who serves as Public Defender of the Second Judicial Circuit. They have two boys.  In his free time, Mr. Yeary enjoys coaching youth baseball, hanging out with his family and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles.

Kareem Todman
Attorney

Kareem L. Todman is a Florida Bar Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer who practices exclusively in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury litigation. Mr. Todman is licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia, and he is also admitted to various district courts in both states. Mr. Todman was born in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, and was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida.  He credits his success and drive to succeed to his Caribbean heritage and upbringing.

Prior to joining Caminez & Yeary, P.A., Mr. Todman was employed for several years as a criminal defense attorney with the Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel in Tallahassee, Florida. As a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Todman has often served as lead defense counsel for clients who were accused of committing serious felony offenses, and as a result, faced a potential life sentence.  Because of his dedication and zealous advocacy, Mr. Todman helped several clients avoid a mandatory life sentence for crimes including first-degree murder, armed robbery with firearm, and burglary of dwelling armed with firearm.

In 2021, The Florida Bar awarded Mr. Todman with board certification in Criminal Trial Law.  Lawyers who achieve board certification are subject to a rigorous examination by The Florida Bar and must also undergo an extensive peer review process. This process involves a thorough assessment and verification of the lawyer’s competence and professionalism by other lawyers and judges.

As a personal injury lawyer, Mr. Todman works alongside Mr. Yeary to ensure the firm’s clients are treated fairly by the insurance company and their lawyers. Mr. Todman will often leverage the skills he acquired as a criminal defense attorney to represent individuals and families in automobile accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death matters in Florida and Georgia.

Outside of the office, Mr. Todman is a devoted father to an energetic toddler. He is married to Jahnee Todman, a local criminal defense attorney, and they have one son.

Shannon Brown - Full Length.png

Shannon Brown
Case Manager

Shannon Brown was born and raised in Madison County, Florida. He started working for the firm in the early 1990s while he still in high school. At that time, he served as an office clerk and investigator.

​

Mr. Brown attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2002. He continued working for the firm while attending school. During that time, he became more hands on with the firm’s clients, assisting them throughout each stage of their claim. Mr. Brown later earned his paralegal certificate and now works as the firm’s Case Manager.  In this role, he handles all aspects of the pre-litigation claims process from initial intake, client follow-up, sending out the demand and attempting to resolve the claim. Additionally, Mr. Brown assists with the litigation process for those cases not settled pre-suit.

 

Over his 30 years with the firm, he has assisted numerous families throughout the big bend area, and they continue to call on him today when in need. In his free time, Mr. Brown enjoys fishing, working on his property and maintaining his rental units.
